Kevin began his career in the Group Benefits industry in 1999 with one of the largest employee benefit providers in Canada. Over his 20 years with them, he honed his skills helping Advisors and Businesses all over Alberta design, price, and implement Group Benefits Plans. Though the skills he developed would serve him for years to come, it was the strong relationships he developed and maintained along the way that helped propel him into this next stage of his career. One of those relationships being a long-term friendship with Scott and Derek, which made Finuity Wealth a perfect fit for Kevin.
In Kevin’s early professional years, he gravitated towards working with small businesses as his father had an independent welding company and farm operation. As time went on, that focus grew to larger firms. In 2019, Kevin moved into the role of financial advisor, where he expanded his skillset in the individual marketplace. Kevin prides himself on his strong listening skills, and his ability to build relationships. These skills have been key in helping Kevin gain the trust of his clients and truly understand his clients’ needs.
Kevin graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1996. Over the years, he has taken various courses on business and personal related finances and planning. Education has always been an important part of his career so he can pass along any knowledge gained to his family, friends, and clients.
Kevin grew up in Ashmont, Alberta, and has always had a hand in helping run the family farm. Although he calls Edmonton home, he is often back to help is his dad in the fields. Kevin is a devoted father to his three children and very active in supporting them in their activities. He has been a dedicated coach on their hockey and baseball teams over the past number of years. Although he enjoys all sports and outdoor activities, he focuses his time on hockey, golf, and enjoys camping and boating on the lake with his kids, family, and friends.
